KEPCO's Graduate School of International Atomic Energy considers the personal information of users, and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws when processing personal information.

All personal information handled by KEPCO University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as KINGS) is collected, retained and processed based on relevant laws or with the consent of the data subject. The [Personal Information Protection Act] provides general norms for the handling of such personal information, and KINGS protects the public's interests and the proper performance of public information and personal information collected, retained, and processed in accordance with the provisions of these laws. In addition, KINGS respects your rights and interests, such as the right to request and amend the personal information held by KINGS in accordance with the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations, and you are subject to administrative judgment as prescribed by the Administrative Judgment Act regarding infringement of rights and interests under these laws and regulations. In accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, KINGS establishes and discloses the following personal information processing policy to protect the privacy of personal information and rights and interests and to smoothly deal with user complaints related to personal information. Article 1 Purpose of Processing Personal Information

① KINGS processes personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use is changed, we will take necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 3 Processing and Retention of Personal Information

① KINGS retains and uses personal information within the period of retention and use of personal information in accordance with laws and regulations or personal information protection law Article 15 (Collection and Use of Personal Information).

Article 4 Third Party Provision of Personal Information

① KINGS provides personal information to third parties only if it falls under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as consent of the data subject and special provisions of the law.

Article 5 Consignment of Personal Information Processing

① KINGS entrusts the processing of personal information only when necessary within the purpose of processing personal information.

② In addition, in the case of a consignment contract, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, matters related to the responsibilities such as prohibition of processing personal information, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on re-trust, and compensation for damages are specified in the relay, and the trustee secures the personal information safely. Article 6 Matters concerning the rights and obligations of the data subject and how to exercise the information

① The information subject (when under the age of 14, the consent of the legal representative is required) can exercise the rights related to the protection of personal information as follows.
•-Request to view personal information

•-Request to delete
•-Request to stop processing

② The exercise of rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 can be exercised through written, e-mail, fax transfer, etc. after filling out in accordance with the Form 8 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act, and KINGS will take action without delay.

③ If the information subject requests correction or deletion of personal information, etc., the personal information will not be used or provided until the correction or deletion is completed.

④ The exercise of rights pursuant to paragraph (1) may be made through a legal representative of the data subject or an agent such as a person who has been delegated. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in accordance with Appendix 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act.

⑤ Requests for access to personal information and suspension of processing may be restricted in accordance with Article 35 (5) and Article 37 (2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.

⑥ Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be requested if the personal information is specified as a collection target in other laws and regulations.

⑦ Confirm whether the person who made the request, such as a request for viewing, request for correction / deletion, or request to stop processing according to the rights of the data subject, is the person or a legitimate agent. Accordingly, you may be asked to submit a copy of your identification card, such as a resident registration card, driver's license, or passport.

Article 7 Procedures and methods of personal information destruction

① KINGS destroys personal information without delay when personal information becomes unnecessary, such as the elapse of the retention period and achievement of the purpose of processing. However, this is not the case in cases where other laws and regulations require the storage.

② In the event that the retention period of personal information that has been agreed by the information subject has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, if the personal information must be preserved in accordance with other laws and regulations, the corresponding personal information (or personal information file) is stored in a separate database ( DB) or keep it in a different storage location.

③ The procedure and method of destroying personal information are as follows.

1. Destruction procedure

  • - Unnecessary personal information and personal information files are created and destroyed by the person responsible for the protection of personal information.
  • - Destruction of personal information: Personal information whose retention period has passed is discarded without delay from the end date.

2. Destruction method

Article 8 Matters concerning the installation, operation and rejection of automatic collection of personal information

Article 9 Measures to secure the safety of personal information

① In accordance with Article 29 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」, KINGS takes the technical, administrative, and physical measures necessary to secure safety as follows.


1. We have established and implemented an internal management plan in compliance with the standard personal information protection guidelines of the safety administration.

2. We have a policy to manage personal information by designating a person in charge of handling personal information and minimizing access to personal information.

3. After conducting regular personal information protection training for personal information handlers, we inspect and improve training results.

4. We control access to personal information by granting, changing, and erasing access to the personal information processing system, and control unauthorized access from the outside using the intrusion prevention system.

5. We keep and manage records (access log, summary information, etc.) that have been accessed to the personal information processing system for at least 6 months, and use security functions to prevent access records from being forged, stolen, or lost.

6. Main personal information is stored and managed safely by encrypting a secure encryption algorithm.

7. In order to prevent the leakage and damage of personal information due to hacking or computer viruses, security programs are installed on business PCs and periodically updated and inspected.

8. The personal information processing system is placed in a separate physical storage location, and access control and management procedures for that location are established and operated.

Article 11 Request for access to Personal Information

① The information giver can request KINGS to check out the personal information pursuant to Article 35 of the Personal Information Protection Act. An information giver may request the person or the department in charge described in Article 11 to check out the personal information.
